What to Expect in a One-Year-Old Photoshoot

We absolutely love one-year-old photoshoot sessions! We keep them short and fun, and we love capturing some family connections, as well as some individual photos of the little one. Here’s a little about our sessions, so you know what to expect!

Sessions are about 45 Minutes Long

As moms of three each, we understand the importance of making every minute count. Our one-year-old photoshoot sessions are long enough to give you a lot of photos (somewhere between 30-50), but short enough to keep the baby happy and moving along.

Sessions Start with Family Photos and End with the One-Year-Old Alone

Our 45-minute sessions kick off with some really special family photos. We love capturing the genuine connection and love that defines your family dynamic. The backdrop of the family photos is our light and bright studio with a cozy bed, white-washed brick wall, and neutral textures. After that portion, we shift to photos of just your one-year-old, allowing us to showcase the unique personality and charm of your little one.

Outfits

One-year-olds grow quickly, and we want to capture their vibrant personalities in various outfits. Parents are encouraged to bring 1-2 outfits. Whether it’s cute rompers or sweet dresses, we love to suggest neutrals or soft colors for a classic feel.

Special Props

To add a touch of uniqueness to your one-year-old’s photos, you can also choose to bring along a special item. From balloons, vintage toys, a stuffed animal or blanket, we can add a little variety to the gallery by showcasing an item or two. This is totally optional, though, as we love a simple and minimal setup, as well!
