Eddie | Baby boy session

We welcomed Eddie and his family into the studio recently for his baby boy session. We had also been anxiously awaiting his arrival since we did his parent’s maternity photos a few weeks prior! When we did that session, we had an amazing time walking around Oakland and using parts of Pitt’s campus and surroundings. They had brought a little hat with his soon-to-be name on it and we got a few photos of them holding it in anticipation. Obviously, you can imagine how special it was when they brought it in for his newborn photos too!

For his session, we wanted to capture the overall tones of autumn since the season was just wrapping up. We pulled some deep rust layers, warm wood tones, tans, and plaids. Lastly, we pulled our dark green jammies to pair with a subtly holiday setup with greenery and lights. 
He wanted to be awake and hang out for a bit during photos with mom and dad, which was adorable! But then he fell asleep once it was time for his solo photos. Occasionally, parents bring items from home to add to their session. Since they previously used the sweet hat with Eddie’s name on it, that was a must for this baby boy session! Additionally they brought a wooden engraved plaque. We loved how these turned out in the final images. Don’t miss the sweet smile he gave us at the end!
