Newborn girl studio session in Pittsburgh, PA | Violet

We welcomed Violet and her family to their newborn studio session! They chose to include a family section, which we always love! Big sister was so sweet with her new baby, and we loved how much she enjoyed getting her photos! The family dressed in a neutral color palette, adding in soft pink. Since we pulled a few soft pink pieces for the newborn section, this tied in beautifully.

Generally, we choose pinks and purples for baby girl sessions. When mom also chose those colors, we had a lot of fun setting up. We absolutely love using our bed prop for sleepy newborns. And when it’s paired with our mohair jammies, it makes a perfect photo! Our wood bowl is another of our favorite prop for a newborn studio session. Since we love incorporating unique vintage pieces, we added this gorgeous crib quilt from a great local shop, Kensington Court Antiques. Similarly, we added an antique wood barrel that Adrienne’s dad picked up from New York for us. The dark brown wood paired perfectly with varying shades of purple. Lastly, of course, we had to add in another purple setup with our popular flower-style wrap!

Violet was an angel for her session, and we couldn’t get over her sweet little face and cheeks.
