Outdoor Maternity Photos | M Family

We love maternity sessions, and this one is an extra special one. Phil and Sarah are dear friends of ours, especially since Phil has been friends with Kelly’s husband since childhood! We have loved watching Phil and Sarah grow from dating to being married, to becoming parents of Patrick. They had us photograph their maternity photos while pregnant with Patrick, and then Kelly had the awesome experience of photographing Patrick’s birth. So it was of course very special to document their second pregnancy with some outdoor maternity photos at Mellon Park’s walled garden. Even Patrick had a blast and found it pretty hilarious that his stuffed puppy was helping us take the pictures!

Sarah came to us a few weeks before this session to do a little photoshoot in the studio. You can see those photos here! But she knew she also wanted some outdoor maternity photos, so we chose Mellon Park. No matter the season, the walled garden at Mellon Park is always beautiful. Sarah chose a pretty blue sweater dress and had her guys coordinate in neutrals. The colors played off really nicely with the stone, brick, and greenery of the park.

Patrick also brought a bubble gun, which was really fun to get some bubble shots! We love making kids feel comfortable by going at their pace and incorporating items they love. We can’t wait to see this guy become a big brother soon. He is such and calm and happy kid, and we just know he will be great with his little brother. And we cannot wait to continue documenting the special moments of this amazing family!
