We’re excited for fall mini sessions! Over the years, we’ve found that some color palettes work better than others. Here are just a few examples of what to wear for the best looking fall photos.
Things that work well:
Fall tones
Muted colors
Subtle patterns/mixing patterns and solids
Coordinating instead of matching
Things to avoid:
Lots of green : green is often in the background and landscape, unless all the leaves have completely changed. On the other hand, touches of green as accent colors work well!
Bright colors: Though bright colors offer a nice punch in an outfit, they often do not photograph as well as more muted colors. Bright pink, bright red, bright blue can be exaggerated by outdoor light and look distracting in photos.
Here are some family outfits that are coordinated well for fall photos in case you need a few ideas!
