So you’ve booked your newborn photos, now what do you wear to the studio? If you’ve chosen our family package, we know it can be stressful trying to figure out everyone’s outfits. Here are a few tips to help you!
We know these days can be a little rough. You’re exhausted, trying to heal, and your body feels unrecognizable. If you don’t feel comfortable in a particular outfit, don’t wear it! Find something in your closet that fits well and you feel good in. Some moms come to the studio in dresses, some come in jeans and a sweater. It’s truly about what you feel good in! The mom above and the mom below chose one of the dresses we have in our studio to make it extra easy. Here is our collection!
Another tip when you’re deciding what to wear to newborn photos: consider where you might display your photos in your home. Solid neutral colors are timeless and go well with most home decor. Whites, beiges, and blacks are great choices. Generally, we say to avoid busy patterns or overly bright colors, as they can add a distraction to the photos. The studio has lots of solid wraps for your baby to help coordinate!
Overall, we want you to look forward to your newborn session and take away the stress around getting family photos. Dressy or casual, you can’t go wrong. If you feel good in your clothing, it will show in the photos. Add in our clean, timeless backdrops and we know you will love your photos.
Below you can see a couple who came in whites; they’re airy and clean and create a beautiful, soft look with our studio:
On the contrary, we also love black! It gives a pretty contrast to our light studio, and it can be really flattering in photos:
Deciding what to wear to newborn photos can feel daunting. But it doesn’t have to be! We hope these tips can help give you some ideas to help you choose outfits for your family.
